Birra (Flavored Beef) + Dish Ideas


pot with a lid (make sure the lid does not have a hole on it)
medium bowl
4 pounds of boneless beef roast meat
12 guajillo chiles pods
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon cumin whole
4 whole cloves
1/4 teaspoon whole black pepper
2 bay leaves
2 garlic cloves
1 green onion
1 cup of water
1 tablespoon salt

Meat Bowl:
sliced lettuce
guacamole (You can find my guacamole recipe here: Easy Guacamole Recipe)
cream (I use cacique creme mexicana)


  1. Fill a medium bowl with hot water
  2. Remove the seeds from the chiles by cutting off the stem, cutting a slit through the side and removing the seeds with a knife
  3. Place the chiles in the bowl and soak for 3 minutes
  4. Add the garlic, oregano, black pepper, bay leaves, cloves, cumin, the chiles from the bowl, salt and water into a blender
  5. Blend until well combined
  6. In a pot mix together the blended sauce with the beef roast until the meat is covered.
  7. Add the green onions to the pot whole
  8. Put the pot on medium heat for 3 minutes
  9. After 3 minutes flip the meat, lower the flame and let cook for 3 hours
  10. Serve and enjoy
